English spelling has a reputation for being inconsistent and irrational, but it is not as difficult as you think!
Join us to learn about:
- The three organizing concepts that help make sense of English spelling
- How the English spelling system works
- Understanding the spelling of words that are often defined as illogical and unexplainable
- Ways you can teach some irregular spellings
Join us as we go beneath the surface of words to find the coherence and logic in English spelling!
March 10th: The presentation will be shared from 9-10 AM or from 7-8 PM.
March 24th: Sue will join us for a live Q&A from 7-7:30 PM (HK$200)
This workshop for teachers and parents will be delivered by Sue Scibetta Hegland. Sue is an educator, author, and frequent speaker. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Upper Midwest Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, on the Board of Education for the Brandon Valley School District, and is currently the Editor-in-Chief for the International Dyslexia Association’s Fact Sheet publications.
