Tiffany believes that it is important to understand the families’ cultural values in order to build trust with the children and parents.
Having previously worked with families from diverse backgrounds, Tiffany learnt that it is important to understand the cultural values and listen to their immediate needs in order to build trust with the children and parents. This helps greatly in maximising the therapy outcome.
Tiffany believes in the impact that early intervention brings to a child’s life and is committed to be a part of their learning journey. Being able to practice in both Chinese and English was another motivating factor in her working at the CDC.
In the long term, Tiffany would like to support more children with special needs and help them generalise their skills to daily life, as well as empowering parents to better support their children’s development across different settings.
