B.Sc. (Hons) (Occupational Therapy), Monash University, Australia
Having graduated and worked in Australia, Sonia found her passion at the CDC working closely with children with special educational needs from diverse backgrounds.
Prior to joining the CDC, Sonia had been working as an occupational therapist for an organisation supporting children and adults with special needs in Melbourne, Australia. The experience made her observant and sensitive to the needs of her clients who were from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
At the CDC, she aims to provide holistic and child/family-centred therapy for children and their families. One of her goals is to raise public awareness about children with SEN and to strive for better inclusion in mainstream schools. Sonia is motivated to make a difference in children’s lives, and to assist them in maximising their full potential.
