Being able to stay calm, energised and alert around others is the foundation of developing social skills. Our Social Butterflies group programme is designed to promote social-emotional development through understanding and addressing children’s individual profiles. By engaging in a safe and nurturing environment, tailored to support their sensory processing and regulation, children will begin to learn to relate, connect, engage, communicate and play with others.
This programme is suitable for children who
- find expressing their emotions challenging
- struggle with back-and-forth interactions
- easily get anxious when they are around other children
- can be withdrawn in a group
- need support to initiate and respond, e.g. requesting, rejecting and problem solving
- prefer playing alone
- have limited play skills
