The Baby Clinic programme is designed for children from birth to 18 months. Parents or caregivers are required to attend sessions with their child, so that they can continue the intervention strategies at home. Parents can enrol their children privately or enrolment can be made through the Social Welfare Department (SWD) Referral System. Each child will receive a bi-annual assessment with a set of individualised programme goals.
The programme covers a range of developmental areas:
- Gross motor skills – larger movements with arms, legs feet or entire body
- Fine motor skills (e.g with fingers and toes)
- Language
- Cognitive skills – thinking and learning skills
