Being able to maintain attention to tasks is crucial for classroom learning. Your child is expected to focus on the teacher, filter our noises from classmates, sort through the information they hear, organise their thoughts and complete the requested tasks. The Attention Group is specially designed to address weak attention that can make it hard for children to learn effectively in the classroom. To join this group, your child should have a basic understanding of colours and shapes and be able to follow one step instructions.
The group addresses a range of attention issues including:
- The ability to remain on task
- The ability to filter out distractions
- The ability to respond to multiple tasks at the same time
- Organisational skills.
