The CDC was the sole beneficiary in the HKCCA “Run for the Roses” charity run. Our CDC staff and Exco members joined the races to support the event!
On 20 October 2019, Hong Kong Call Centre Association (HKCCA) held their 20th anniversary charity run, “Run for the Roses” at the Hong Kong Sports Institute, Sha Tin. Being the sole beneficiary of the event, the CDC was grateful for the generous support of HKCCA and all sponsors. In order to enjoy and support the event to the fullest, Team CDC and our executive committee also participated in various races!
On the sunny Sunday morning, Sabrina, our Exco chairman and Mr. Chapman Lam, the HKCCA chairman, officiated the opening ceremony of the run event, and later sounded the starting horns for the races. Mr. Lam said, “this year marks the HKCCA’s 20th anniversary, we are delighted to organise this charity run to help raise funds for The Child Development Centre. Through this worthwhile event, we hope to establish a strong connection between our customers and the community, also to help more children and families in need in our society.”
“It’s our honour to be here at this meaningful event today. Thank you to the HKCCA and other sponsors for their generous support. With their contribution, we can continue to provide our children with specialised and tailored early intervention to address their individual needs,” said Sabrina.
Cheer for the Runners
Over 300 people participated in the races, and the CDC also formed teams to take part in the 4K corporate run and 3K family run! Their family members and our staff were all cheering enthusiastically for the runners alongside the track.
At our booth, we had set up an activity – “Kinetic Sand”, which can help children improve their sensory tolerance and fine motor skills. This gave participants an idea of the kind of interactive activities we use at the CDC and their purposes. Furthermore, they were able to gain a better understanding of the services we provide for children with various educational needs.
After all the exciting races, it was time to announce the winners. Sabrina and Mr. Michael Cowell, the HKCCA Treasurer, presented the prizes and medals to all triumphant winners. In addition, all participants were presented with roses for their much appreciated endeavour.
Our sincere thanks to all of you for supporting the CDC in this fun charity run, we look forward to seeing you again at the upcoming CDC events. Last but not least, like/follow our social media accounts to stay tuned with our latest news!
