It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Executive Committee announces the departure of Virginia Wilson as Chief Executive of The Child Development Centre (CDC), effective March 15, 2018.
Virginia has served the CDC community for over 16 years in various capacities, and 13 years as the Chief Executive (CE). She has played a critical role in the development and success of the organisation, and while we will miss her and her inspiring leadership, we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavour.
Over the next few months, we will be conducting a search to find a new Chief Executive for the CDC. During this transition period, Dr Yvonne Becher, a long-term member of the CDC, will be the acting Chief Executive until an appropriate candidate has been appointed.
Again, we cannot thank Virginia enough for the dedication, passion, enthusiasm and motivation she has given the CDC over the past years. She will be greatly missed by the staff, the Executive Committee, and partners alike. If you have any questions or concerns during this transition process, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
