The CDC was pleased to be one of the exhibitors at the Kindergartens Festival 2020 at the JW Marriott Hotel on 20 June 2020!

The Child Development Centre (CDC) participated in the Kindergartens Festival 2020, which was organised by the SCMP Education Post on 20 June. Both our Chief Executive – Dr. Yvonne Becher, and our Teaching Team Leader – Joan Ng shared knowledge and teaching tips with attending parents who were interested in the teaching content and materials for children who may have special educational needs.

In addition, our Speech and Language Therapist / Assistant Director, Programme Development & Learning – Julie Giles joined other education experts on a panel of speakers to discuss the topic ‘How much screen time is OK for my child?’ The panel generated an interesting discussion about how to introduce screen time to children and shared some handy tips on using tablet devices.

The CDC treasures every opportunity to connect with the community. Being one of the few organisations specialising in early intervention and special educational support at the event, we took this chance to highlight the importance of early intervention and introduce our individualised services. Furthermore, we exchanged inspirational ideas by connecting and interacting with attendees and other professional educators in the sector.

In order to empower the families in the community, let’s collaborate together to maximise the benefits for our children in the future and to help them be successful in their unique learning journeys!
