Jumping, climbing, bouncing and racing, our children had a great day at the CDC’s Family Fun Sports Day! Our Chairman, Sabrina Ho, kicked off the event on Sunday, 4th November 2018. We wish to express our thanks to SEA Group for their generous sponsorship of the event. It was a pleasure working with a group of volunteers from the SEA group who enjoyed a wonderful day with 26 CDC families.
Throughout the day, our children enjoyed a variety of crawling, walking and throwing activities to suit all levels of development, including an Egg & Spoon relay, a bouncy castle and many games stations. Not only are sports a fun way to stay healthy and strong, but the sports day also provided opportunities for our children to practise their gross motor skills and social interactions.
The obstacle course proved to be a firm favourite, strengthening the bond between parents and their children, as they worked together to navigate the tasks. Through wheelbarrow walking, balancing on beams and crawling through a tunnel, the children also practised their gross motor skills and enjoyed sensory experiences.
The day ended with an exciting ceremony and the winners were… Everyone! All participants received a gold medal in recognition of their efforts. Congratulations to all the families for the great sportsmanship shown throughout the event!
A huge thank you to all who came and joined us for the fun and the exercise! We look forward to seeing you all again next time!
