CDC’s First Vaccination Project
We were pleased to host our first Vaccination Project which provided a quadrivalent influenza vaccine against two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. This arrangement was open to all children currently enrolled at the CDC, their family members and domestic helpers as well as to all CDC staff.
Our project partner was Dedicare Outreach, a group of dedicated, qualified healthcare professionals with the mission of providing best-in-class mobile vaccination services to the community in Hong Kong. On 22nd and 27th of October 2018, Dr Chung and his service team delivered 139 doses of the Influenza Vaccination.
Dedicare came to the CDC well-prepared with all the necessary equipment, including a portable vaccine refrigerator, and their professional team helped the CDC transform two of its rooms into a mini-clinic. The Dedicare staff demonstrated their expertise in comforting any young children who showed fear and encouraging all those who felt anxious.
We thank the Dedicare team for their hard work and for making many of our families and staff better prepared for the upcoming flu season.
