Heep Hong Society – SNN Workshop: Introducing PACT Therapy to Families of Children with Communication Challenges and its Application at Home

In collaboration with Heep Hong Society, SNNHK is delighted to announce our upcoming workshop on the PACT programme in June.

WHAT IS PACT?

PACT is a communication technique that aims to improve the synchrony of communication between parents and their children with no or limited language skills under 12 years old.

Where other therapies tend to burden the child by teaching them to modify their behaviour in situations they are often too young to understand, the PACT programme focuses on the parent’s communication so as to diversify interaction and synchronize parent-child communication.

In this two-part workshop, led by Mr. Neo Ngan, a registered Educational Psychologist (HK) and Nationally Certified School Psychologist (US), parents will be taken through the theories, research and video demonstrations to combine interactive play skills with levelled communication techniques, enabling parents to develop more tailored communication pathways at home.
